I hope you had a great week and I have something super real to talk about today. I don't have a fancy way to put this so I'm just going to say it.
I struggle a lot lately with my body.
A lot of things have changed for me these past couple years, including my physical ability, which is perfectly normal as our bodies age and time passes. What is ALSO normal is struggling with where your body is and how you feel in it, and that's what I want to talk about today.
You see, not only am I struggling with self acceptance right now, my brain keeps telling me I'm not allowed to struggle with my body. I talk a lot about self acceptance and love on the internet, and with the amazing projects I have on the way, it seems so silly when I say it out loud. It's almost embarrassing that I would feel this way however body positivity doesn't mean you're positive about your body 24/7.
I'm done shaming myself for my feelings. Our bodies change, and I need to allow myself the space and time to adjust and learn to love the body that I have right now.
Loving yourself is an active choice. A decision that you make every day. Similar to loving your partner(s). Taking pictures of myself even when I don't feel like the most amazing version of myself is an action of radical self love.
This isn't a plea for compliments, although those are always nice and I appreciate them so much. It's an invitation to do this together if you are also in this place with me.

If you're here, you know, as I do, that tasks that seem like no big deal to most people can be a really big deal to neurodivergent people. One thing I've always wanted to do in this space is make a body doubling series for things like, brushing your teeth or taking a shower.
You were all so amazing about my new video on YouTube and it really inspired me to lean into more of my content ideas, which helped me create this little mini series.

I've been working on a bunch of really cool actual play projects lately so I've got world-building on the brain and I'm making it everyone's problem.

What would happen if overnight, every written word ever written disappeared?
Or perhaps, no new history, no new science, no new... anything, could be recorded?
Maybe one day, the entire world wakes up to deleted memories....or uploaded new ones?

I can't believe it's 2024 and we're ringing in the new year with being required to rest, but here we are~!
This year is going to be a busy year with everything going on, including the book Erik and I are currently working and honestly I cannot even believe this is my life right now 😲
So while the past couple years I've been doing like one post a week or so, I have SO MANYS PICS BACKLOGGED I'm going to be posting a lot more!
So I really want to make this a more interesting space to be including being more active on here on the regular!
That means more posts, more content and more sexy stuff! The next episode of Cate Talks Kink is coming next week and I'm going to try my best to commit to two audios a month! (We'll see how that goes 🤣)

This has been a magical year of ups and downs and with all that is happening in the world never forget you are a human being worthy of love and joy and all the things.

It's Friday Thirstosaurs and I've been so sick I've been working from the comfort of the floor so I don't waste away haha I have a couple streamed TTRPGs this weekend so here's to seeing if I make it!!! 😅
While I've been reduced to hoping I can hold it all together, I DID manage to start a newsletter! 😁 In case you haven't heard, I've been working on a book, and it's a lot more work than I originally anticipated. Lots of deadlines and such

Either way I hope your holidays as glorious as can be and I can't wait to share all the things I've been working on with you!
Now that traveling is done, for now, I'm focusing on 2024 and let me tell you, there are some big things coming (and I'm not JUST talking about the book!)
We are going to make some changes around here because ya'll have been showing me that I can be my full self, whatever that looks like, and that ITS TOTALLY OKAY!!!
Each and every one of you have helped make this an amazing year of self discovery in all aspects of creativity and I can't thank you enough!
Cate Talks Kink has taught me that it's okay to do scary things sometimes and so we're continuing that energy into the next year!!
Live streams will be back in January and will look a little different so, if you're into learning more about kink, asking questions that you can't ask anywhere else, I cannot wait for you to see what's coming next month!
The world is on fire and I hope you're taking lots of care of yourselves as this can be such a hard time for us. Grab a scarf, some garland, or a partner, tie up those wrists a little and just allow yourself to exist.
